OUR BEGINNING

Born in a Notebook

Maison Écru started with a question: what if a wardrobe had only twelve pieces, and every one of them was perfect? Not perfect in the Instagram sense — perfect in the way a well-worn leather journal is perfect. Broken in. Considered. Irreplaceable.

We source directly from three mills — one in Biella for wool, one in Normandy for linen, one on the Scottish borders for cashmere. No agents, no intermediaries.

Worn & Told

The Linen Trouser survived a month in Puglia — packed in a carry-on, worn to dinners, washed in a sink. It came home looking better than it left.
I own the Merino Crew in écru and charcoal. My husband now owns them in navy and oatmeal. We've replaced four brands with this one.
The Wool Coat turned three this winter. The lining is holding. The buttons are tighter than the day it arrived.
