OUR STORY

From Market Table to Your Table

Salt & Barrel started at a farmers market in the Willamette Valley — one folding table, eight jars of fig preserves, and a hand-lettered sign. We'd spent a year learning to can from a third-generation preserver in rural Oregon, and the first batch sold out by noon.

Today we work with seventeen small producers across three continents. Every jar, bottle, and tin comes from someone we've met, whose kitchen we've stood in, whose fields we've walked. No brokers. No commodity lots. Just food made by people who'd be proud to serve it at their own table.

Good food doesn't need a long ingredient list — it needs a good story and time.

Tasting Notes

Aged Balsamic Reserve
“The Aged Balsamic Reserve changed how I dress a salad. Two drops, good olive oil, done. I haven't bought supermarket vinegar since.”
Smoked Sea Salt Collection
“I gave the Smoked Sea Salt Collection as a holiday gift. My brother called to ask where I'd been hiding this stuff. Now I order two — one for him, one for me.”
Seville Orange Marmalade
“The Seville Orange Marmalade on warm sourdough is a weekend ritual now. It's bitter and sweet in exactly the right ratio.”
