Our roastery

A small roastery in Burlington, Vermont.

We roast coffee twice a week and ship it the day after. That’s most of the plan, and we like it that way.

Everything goes out whole bean, because grinding is the last step before brewing and it belongs in your kitchen. Next to the coffee sits a short shelf of tea: the few we buy for our own cups, sold loose leaf.

After hours

Some mornings start in the dark.

Bakers, nurses, new parents, anyone with an early train to catch.

Night Shift is the dark roast for those hours: whole bean, in a black bag, roasted in Burlington and shipped the day after. Grind it right before you brew, make it a little stronger than you think, and drink it slowly anyway.

The House Blend is the bag we keep reordering. Chocolate, a little toasted nut, and it never lasts to the end of the month.

I like knowing my coffee left Burlington the day after it was roasted. The bag smells like a roastery when you open it.

The jasmine pearls unfurl in the cup like they’re waking up. The glass jar lives on my counter now.
