Notes from the shore

After
the swim

Salt on your shoulders, the long walk back up the sand, a towel big enough to lie on properly. That last part is the Rayas: striped cotton, 90 x 170 cm.

The Puerto short comes along for all of it. It's navy, with a proper drawstring at the waist, so the only thing you're adjusting is your plans for tomorrow.

Made in our studio in Valencia

Costa Mira is a small studio in Valencia making swimwear and beach things: one-pieces that stay put when you dive, bikinis in sun-washed colours, swim shorts with a proper drawstring, and striped cotton towels for when you come out.

We think a swimsuit should be made for the part where you actually swim. So we cut ours from swim fabric made from recycled nylon, keep the shapes simple, and spend our time on what you notice in the water: a scoop back that stays put, sides you can tie, a drawstring worth the name.

Measure once.
Swim all summer

Take three measurements on the body, in centimetres, then find your row. If you land between two sizes, the tie sides on the Limón and the drawstring on the Puerto give you room to adjust.

  1. BustAround the fullest part, with the tape level across your back.
  2. WaistAround the narrowest part, breathing out.
  3. HipsAround the fullest part, feet together.
