FROM THE DESK

Where the Margins Are Wide

Ink & Margin began at a secondhand writing desk in a one-room apartment. We were tired of throwaway notebooks and pens that bled through cheap stock. We wanted materials that made the act of writing feel deliberate again.

Everything we carry passes a simple test: would we use it ourselves, daily, without apology? If the paper doesn't hold a fountain pen nib without feathering, it doesn't make the shelf. If the ink fades in six months, it never arrives.
