Chute & Agate

Chute & Agate is a two bench workshop in a former tire shop in the Lincoln Park neighbourhood of Duluth, Minnesota, run by Ines Varga, who built kitchen cabinets for fifteen years before her nephew asked for a marble run that would not fall apart. She cuts every block from hard maple, routes the channels on a small table, and sands each groove through four grits so a glass marble runs the length of the tower without a click. The finish is beeswax and walnut oil and nothing else.
