Gooseneck Watering Can

Quillet & Rose

Quillet & Rose is a former assay office on Brewery Gulch in Bisbee, Arizona, where Marisol Ortega makes watering cans after nine years restoring copper cookware for a kitchen supply shop in Tucson. Each can starts as one sheet of 20 ounce copper that she raises over a steel stake with a planishing hammer, then the spout is riveted on and the seams sealed with lead free tin. The long gooseneck reaches under the leaves of a crowded shelf, and the brass rose head unscrews for a steady stream.
