Snuff & Spill

Snuff & Spill works out of a converted milking parlour outside Viroqua, Wisconsin, run by Teodor Halloran, who kept forty hives for a decade before he started melting down the comb he could not sell. He hangs six wicks from each rod and lowers them into a vat of beeswax about thirty times, letting every layer cool before the next, then tints the last few dips sage green with a pigment pressed from nettle leaves.
