Seven Foot Delta Kite

Spar & Bridle

Spar & Bridle is a two room workshop in Seaview, Washington, a short walk from the Long Beach Peninsula sand. Ines Halvorsen sewed racing sails for twenty two years before she turned the same ripstop and the same double stitched seams to kites. Every delta is cut by hot knife on a plywood table, framed with Sitka spruce spars she planes herself, and test flown on the beach before it is rolled into its sleeve.
