Generation typically takes 90 seconds to 3 minutes. The AI is writing real Liquid code for multiple files — layout, templates, sections, CSS, and config — so it takes a little longer than a simple form submission. You can watch the progress on screen.

You need a Shopify store to install the theme, but you can generate and download your theme from ThemeForge with any plan, including a Shopify free trial. ThemeForge is not affiliated with Shopify Inc.

Your ZIP file contains a complete Shopify 2.0 theme: a layout file (theme.liquid), JSON page templates, section files with schema, a CSS stylesheet, and a config/settings_data.json with your brand colors pre-loaded. It installs directly from the Shopify admin.

Yes. Once you install the theme in Shopify, you can customize it with the built-in theme editor (no code required for settings) or edit the Liquid/CSS directly in the Shopify code editor. The generated code is clean and well-structured.

No. The AI generates your theme based on your specific inputs — your store name, industry, style choice, brand colors, and product descriptions. Two themes with different inputs will look noticeably different. That said, ThemeForge doesn't produce pixel-perfect custom designs; it produces a strong, on-brand starting point.

All themes generated by ThemeForge are Shopify 2.0 compatible. They use JSON templates and section groups, which means the Shopify theme editor works fully for customizing layouts without touching code.

You can pick from 12 sections: Announcement bar, Hero slideshow, Featured collection, Newsletter signup, Testimonials, Instagram feed, Product quick view, Collection filters, Brand story, FAQ accordion, Contact form, and Blog section. You can always add, remove, or reorder sections in the Shopify theme editor after installing.

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Add theme → Upload zip file. Select the ZIP you downloaded from ThemeForge and click Upload. Once uploaded, click Customize to preview it or Publish to make it live. The whole process takes under two minutes.

Yes. In the Shopify admin, after uploading, click Customize on the uploaded theme. This opens a live preview where you can see your theme and make changes using Shopify's theme editor before it goes live.

No. Installing and previewing a new theme does not affect your products, collections, pages, or orders. It only changes the visual layer. Your existing live theme stays active until you click Publish on the new one.

The Free plan gives you 1 theme generation per month — enough to try ThemeForge and generate a complete theme. Pro ($19/month) gives you unlimited generations, theme history so you can re-download any past theme, and priority email support. Both plans include full Shopify 2.0 themes with ZIP download.

Each time you complete the wizard and click "Generate theme," that uses one generation. Downloading the same theme multiple times does not use additional generations. On the Free plan, your generation count resets on the first of each month.

Yes, at any time. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your account settings. Cancelling stops future billing and downgrades you to the Free plan at the end of your current billing period.

If you're not satisfied, contact support within 7 days of your first Pro charge and we'll refund it. We stand behind the product.

The Free plan is effectively your trial — you get one complete theme generation at no cost. If you want to iterate or need more than one theme per month, upgrade to Pro.

You can sign up with email and password, or use Google or GitHub OAuth for one-click login.

Yes. All generated themes are saved to your account and accessible from your Dashboard. Pro users can re-download any past theme at any time. Free users can view their most recent theme.

Yes. The information you enter in the wizard (store name, description, colors, products) is used only to generate your theme. It's stored in your account and not shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
